All updates will be included on the 101 in 1001 page.
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
I am using my list to challenge me to release some bad habits, to gain some good rituals. I hope to challenge myself physically, mentally, creatively and spiritually. Start date was February 18, 2008 and the finish date will be November 15, 201o — my 25th wedding anniversary.

Wow – keep us posted on how that goes.
Right now a list like that is totally overwhelming.
I feel like although I’m spinning my wheels – the list of what I have to do right now just feels like breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.
Still thinking about your hair – you’re my hero.

Holy Moly! That seems like a lot, but I’m sure you can accomplish anything you set out to do. How are the dreads doing?

I didn’t know Devil’s Tower can be climbed! I just did a similar thing with a paper chain where I wrote on each link one goal for this year. It’s shorter, but hey, I only have 365 days!

Thank you for sharing your list. It is quite a challenge for you but the items indicate that you are a tremendous person who is seeking to get down to what is fundamental in life. We should all be so courageous.
Oh, and kudos for having the courage to follow your heart and disregard society’s standard for beauty. I think you are beautiful as you are.

Hey Stacey!
I know that Garner’s has belly dancing classes each week. It’s on my list and I am doing very well so far in accomplishing some things.
I SO love my dreads. It will be a long process, taking months to lock up but this is me. Totally.
Love you!!!!
