At first, I really had a difficult time thinking about describing myself as sacred. That is a word that has been reserved for church and the things of God. I was able to get to a place, an understanding that sacred is something or someone who is worthy of reverence and respect. Well, I am … so are you.

Five Year Old Artist

This is my Five Year Old art journal entry for SuziBlu’s project. I was supposed to tape in a picture of myself at five years of age. I don’t think I have one here … if so, it would be really time consuming to find. I just painted a little self portrait of myself at five … yes, I wore cat eyeglasses way back then.

The quotes says, “Every Child is an artist. The Problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up” Picasso.

So Suzi gave us an assignment and my friend Joy is even playing along. I created in my journal but didn’t really do what Suzi said. I am still going to take time to write my excuses and cover them over though … it’s fun play and it’s a great exercise in silencing the critic. Here are some pages I played with this week.
