It has been so much fun swappin’ with the such creative souls at Create a Connection.
Each month a box of joy slides into my mailbox. I have been without a camera and put off posting about these wonderful gifts far too long. No matter, I will pass my gratitude along and describe as best I can.
In January, Elizabeth sent a chocolate brown mug, covered in a swirly design in first-lipstick pink. Infused within the design is the word, “Flirt”. Each morning I drink my coffee from this mug and it reminds me to play, to loosen the boundaries, to flirt with those I love.
I went on a search for the perfect mug to send to Mim and found this whimsical creation.
In February, Alecia sent Light on Snow by Anita Sheve. The challenge was to send along a book that we enjoyed, that has been life changing for us. I was so glad that Alecia sent me a fiction book as I don’t usually give myself permission to read fiction. Ah yes, I know, I know it’s a sad thing and a bad habit I am seeking to reverse.
I sent Delia my favorite book of 2006, All over but the Shoutin’ by Rick Bragg. Rick gave me a whole new perspective on my family history. He paints pictures with his words that completely mesmerize me.
This month, Jennifer sent a art package stuffed with pens, markers, sketchbook, stickers and an incredible tissue paper collage. I am so blessed! Maybe a new art bag is called for so I can carry all my new fun supplies with me!
Mary Ann was the recipient of my art package. In fact, she is the creative genius that hosted this month’s swap. What a fun swap! She has generously thanked me in this post for the stickers, rub ons, die cuts, journal, card and pendant I sent her way. That is the first pendant I have made and I must give credit to Violette who gave me the idea.
I am even considering hosting a swap in the future. Some very cool ideas have been bursting into my mind lately! Just love sharing the joy, don’t you?!
Immersed in the Mystery,
Cynthia
